The Apple Watch Series 12 in detail
How many years of updates does the Apple Watch Series 12 get?
In its PSTI statement, Apple gives September 18, 2026 as the date this model first went on sale in the UK. The brand commits to supporting it for at least 5 years from then, which means until September 18, 2031.
That leaves at least 4 years and 11 months of guaranteed patches.
This minimum already goes beyond what Apple delivered for the middle half of its smartwatches in our database (between 4 years and 5 years).
Do I need to do anything with my Apple Watch Series 12?
Nothing urgent. Support is guaranteed until at least September 18, 2031. Keep automatic updates switched on, because a patch only protects you once it's installed. If an end date is published, the alert above will tell you.
