This device has expired. Now what?
No more security updates will ever arrive for the Redmi Note 9 Pro. If it's your daily phone, the safest move is to replace it — ideally with a model that stays supported for years. The old one still makes a fine offline camera, alarm clock or backup device.

Can I keep using the Redmi Note 9 Pro?
Yes, it still works. But every security hole found after May 2023 stays open. For daily use with banking, messaging and passwords, a supported device is the safer choice. As a spare without your main accounts (alarm clock, music player, camera), it's still useful. Do a factory reset before you give it away or recycle it.
